John F. Kennedy, 1962 "We are not afraid to entrust the American people with unpleasant facts, foreign ideas, alien philosophies, and competitive values. For a nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is afraid of its people."
I wonder how JFK would be regarded today espousing ideas such as the ones contained in the above quotes? Surely he would be regarded as batty, as is Rep Ron Paul for his calls for more transparency and adherence to the Constitution.
